World Jewish Relief

The Gerald and Gail Ronson Family Foundation are supporters of World Jewish Relief – The British Jewish community’s international humanitarian agency. WJR tackle Jewish poverty, primarily in the former Soviet Union but also reach beyond the Jewish community.

World Jewish Relief are the British Jewish community’s international humanitarian agency. Inspired by Jewish values, they empower people in poverty to live with dignity and hope. They support the world’s poorest Jewish communities, predominantly in Eastern Europe.

Many older Jewish people in Ukarine, Moldova and Georgia live in crumbling homes and are unable to afford even the most basic maintenance. Living in sub-standard accommodation has a detrimental effect on their physical and mental health. The Foundation are proud to support the World Jewish Relief Home Repairs Programme, transforming the lives of those who previously suffered poor living conditions but as a result of the programme are now warm, dry and secure and able to live in comfort and dignity.
