The Roundhouse is a performing arts and concert venue situated at the Grade II listed former railway engine shed in Chalk Farm, London, England. The redeveloped Roundhouse houses up to 3,300 people standing or up to 1,700 seated. It produces a wide range of performing arts including, music, theatre, dance, circus and digital media.
Since the Roundhouse reopened as a youth arts charity ten years ago, with the support of The Gerald and Gail Ronson Family Foundation, it has offered unparalleled creative opportunities in music, performing arts and new media to over 30,000 individual young people aged between 11 and 25. The renovated Roundhouse reopened on 1 June 2006.
The Gerald and Gail Ronson Family Foundation has continued to support the Trust, including the current development a new facility that will house the Centre for Creative & Digital Entrepreneurs, including the new broadcast studio and co-working hub, the new multi-use studios, and the triple-height studio for large-scale performing.
